2024 Schedule announcement

The Pro Padel League (PPL), North America’s first and only professional padel league, is unveiling the official team rosters and order of play for its highly anticipated 2024 season kicking-off in Miami next week. Starting on Tuesday, April 2nd, at the ULTRA CLUB, this season will feature some of the game’s best, and most exciting, professional padel players and powerhouses from around the world competing for a chance to play in the PPL Cup at the end of the year.

Representing some of the most iconic cities in North America, from April 2nd-7th ten PPL teams will play in the first two events of the 2024 season at ULTRA CLUB in Miami.

The PPL teams competing in the 2024 season include the Las Vegas Smash (2023 Champions), Cancun Waves (2023 Finalists), Miami Padel Club, Flowrida GOATS, San Diego Stingrays, Los Angeles BEAT, Arkansas Matrix, Toronto Polar Bears, New York Atlantics, and Houston Volts.

Taking the court first on opening day at 8:30 a.m. ET in the season’s first head-to-head will be the Arkansas Matrix battling the 2023 PPL Finalists the Cancun Waves followed by the Flowrida Goats making their PPL debut against the San Diego Stingrays. Some of the week’s most anticipated matchups include:

  • Orlando vs. Los Angeles (Tuesday, April 2nd, second to last match on)
  • New York vs. Cancun (Wednesday, April 3rd, second on after 8:30 a.m. ET)
  • Miami vs. Los Angeles (Thursday, April 4th, third on after 10:00 a.m. ET)
  • Miami vs. Orlando (Friday April 5th, last match on after 10:00 a.m. ET)

Starting Tuesday, April 2nd, round robin matches will take place through Friday, April 5th, with the semifinals being held Saturday, April 6th and the final on Sunday, April 7th.  All matches will be livestreamed on the PPL YouTube channel.

A detailed Order of Play is now available online along with complete team rosters for the first event in Miami. Tickets are also available including general admission, reserved seating, VIP, and week-long passes.

“The caliber of players competing in the PPL this season are the best in the world and will make for incredibly exciting, and entertaining, matches in Miami starting next week,” said Marcos del Pilar, PPL Commissioner. “With three additional PPL franchises playing in the league this year, we anticipate an even more competitive season than last year that will attract worldwide attention and further grow the sport in North America.”

The only professional sports league to showcase the best male and female athletes, Miami team roster player highlights for the PPL’s first event are:

  • Miami Padel Club: Ariana Sanchez Fallada ranked no. 1 in the world and Agustin Tapia ranked no. 4 in the world.
  • New York Atlantics: former world no. 1 Juan Martin Diaz, Tamara Icardo no. 11 in the world, and Virginia Riera no. 12 in the world.
  • Flowrida GOATS (Orlando): Gemma Triay Pons no. 3 in the world and Aranzazu Osoro no. 13 in the world.
  • Las Vegas Smash (2023 Champions): Marta Ortega no. 6 in the world
  • Los Angeles BEAT: Tolito Aguirre no. 5 in the world and Jessica Castello no. 8 in the world
  • Arkansas Matrix: former world no. 1 Maria Catalina Tenorio Cauvet.
  • Toronto Polar Bears: Coki Nieto no. 17 in the world, and Victoria Iglesias no. 21 in the world.
  • Cancun Waves (2023 Finalists): Carlos Daniel “Sanyo” Gutierrez no. 10 in the world, Eduardo Agustin Torre no. 7 in the world, and Veronica Virseda Sanchez no. 15 in the world.
  • San Diego Stingrays: Former world no. 2 Miguel Lamperti, former world no. 1 Maxi Sanchez, and former world no. 1 Lucia Sainz.
  • Houston Volts: Claudia Jensen no. 10 in the world and Claudia Fernández no. 16 in the world as well as the promising Ivan Ramirez and Pablo Garcia.

This season, the PPL boasts five players ranked number one in their respective countries, along with Agustin Tapia and Ariana Sanchez Fallada, top players in the International Padel Federation (FIP) rankings, playing in the league. Additionally, there are 11 players ranked top five in the world, 24 players ranked top ten the world, and 40 players ranked top 20 in the world who will be competing in 2024.

The mission of the PPL is to create the most compelling version of padel for sports fans in North America with the new league providing the biggest stage for professional padel players across the continent. The PPL is the first of its kind, and the only professional padel league in the world, to feature team-based competition in a unique and engaging, city-based, franchise format.
